Bluestone Lettings and Property Management is a dedicated team of professionals, committed to providing an efficient, friendly service to both landlords and tenants. Our journey began in 2010, with the aim of introducing professionalism, integrity, and reliability to the residential lettings and management sector. We are an independent, family-run business, not a franchise or a branch of a national firm. Our success is based on customer satisfaction, and we have grown organically since our beginnings, letting and managing a stock of property on behalf of clients all over Shropshire.

We chose to be regulated from the outset, long before any kind of regulation of the private rented sector became mandatory. As members of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, we abide by their strict Code of Practice and follow a rigorous program of continuing professional development to ensure we are always current, and fully abreast and knowledgeable of legislative, regulatory and market developments in the sector. Membership of The Property Ombudsman further demonstrates our commitment to the highest of professional standards, requiring us to put our clients - both landlords and tenants - best interests' at the heart of everything we do.

Our team is led by Richard Lewington and Jo Lewington, who bring different specialisms to Bluestone Lettings. Richard has gained over 25 years' experience within housing, having worked for Housing Associations in London and the Midlands. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing, the professional body for housing in the UK, and whose objective is 'for everyone to have a decent home in a thriving, safe, community.'

Richard's background in social housing ensures that tenants live in a safe, pleasant environment; this ensures that tenants are satisfied, which in turn strengthens the landlord and tenant relationship and keeps both parties to the letting happy, and achieving their individual goals - a hassle-free investment for the landlord and a safe and comfortable home for the tenant.

Jo qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1993 after gaining a degree in surveying at Nottingham Trent University and completing two years of postgraduate training in practice in London and Birmingham. Initially working in commercial property, Jo specialised in the leisure and licensed property sectors working in both private practice for clients, and as in-house surveyor for regional brewer, Eldridge Pope in Dorset. With specialisms in property valuation, agency and landlord and tenant, Jo is a stickler for ensuring that the properties we manage are in the best possible condition, ensuring a hassle-free experience for both landlords and tenants.
