Lack of Communication and Poor Management
The reviews highlight a pattern of poor communication and management by McGuinness Fleck (McGF). One reviewer, Sam Donnan, experienced difficulties in reporting issues with their rental property, with automated acknowledgement emails but no subsequent contact. Another reviewer, Colin, waited over 10 months for repairs, and received little acknowledgement from staff.
Multiple Issues with Rental Properties
Several reviewers reported numerous issues with their rental properties, including roof leaks, mould, and damp. Sam Donnan also mentioned that the company failed to address these issues, and ignored requests for maintenance. Another reviewer, Concerned Citizen, reported issues with the Managing Company, including a breach of Articles of Association and a lack of transparency in accounting practices.
EGM Chaos and Breach of Rules
Concerned Citizen also reported on the company's conduct during an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) in November 2023, where they changed rules to coerce shareholders to pay a disputed levy and used divisive tactics to prevent certain individuals from attending AGMs or voting.
Poor Service and Unprofessional Conduct
Across the reviews, there are multiple instances of poor service and unprofessional conduct by McGF employees. Sam Donnan experienced difficulties with his contact, Peter Armstrong, who ignored his points and responded with generic comments. Concerned Citizen reported being removed from a Zoom AGM by the Chair of the meeting, who acted in a belligerent and obstructive manner.
